Overview

At Datamond, I am leading the design of an end-to-end AI bookkeeping platform from ground zero. This requires architecting a highly dense information environment that balances traditional accounting precision with modern, generative AI insights. My focus is on building a scalable design system that simplifies massive data ingestion into actionable financial dashboards.

The Information Architecture

Handling a full-stack bookkeeping tool means managing hundreds of data points. I started by mapping the journey of a financial transaction through AI categorization to final tax reporting. This involved:

Complex Dashboards: Designing data-dense layouts that remain readable across web and mobile.

AI Feedback Loops: Establishing UI patterns for users to verify and "train" AI bookkeeping suggestions.

Hierarchical Navigation: Organizing deep-nested menus for tax, ledgers, and automated invoicing.

Systems from Scratch

Because the product began as a "greenfield" project, I established the technical foundation of the UI. This wasn't just about buttons; it was about creating a logic that engineering could replicate instantly.

Proprietary Full-Stack Architecture

This project covers the complete redesign of complex bookkeeping dashboards and AI logic.

Key Learnings

Managing Scale & Complexity
